A Day in the Life of an Entrepreneur: Rugs Down, Shelves Up, and Nana's Mini Mall Starts to Feel Real 💕

Well friends, I have been waiting a long time to say this one: Nana's Mini Mall officially has furniture in it! 🎉

This week the padding and rug went down, and let me tell you, there is something about laying that  rug that changes everything. Up until now it has been studs and paint and sawdust and "someday." You put a rug down and suddenly it is a shop. I may have stood in the doorway a minute just looking at it. Okay, maybe more than a minute.

Then came the fun part. Joe helped me move in the shelves, the desk, and the chair, and we got everything settled into place. That little 10x12 space is starting to look exactly like the picture I have carried around in my head for months. Shelves waiting for handmade goodies. A checkout desk where I will get to hand things to real people, face to face. A chair, because Nana does occasionally sit down. Occasionally. 😉

Every single piece in here has a story already. Nothing fancy, nothing stock-photo perfect, just real progress made by two people who keep showing up on the weekends with a plan and a tape measure.

What's next 🛠️

Now comes the part I have been dreaming about since day one: moving product in and styling those shelves. Mugs, keychains, tees, tumblers, all the handmade things that have been living in bins at Nana HQ finally get a home of their own where people can pick them up and hold them.

I still do not have a Grand Opening date to share, and I am not going to make one up just to have something to post. When it is ready, you all will be the first to know. Promise. 💕

Thank you for following along with this build. Honestly, the messages and the encouragement have kept me going on the days when it felt like the to-do list was growing faster than the progress. This shop is a little dream I have had for a long time, and watching it come together piece by piece has been one of the great joys of my life.
