A Day in the Life of an Entrepreneur: Nana’s Mini Mall Is Coming to Life!
Share
There is something incredibly special about watching a dream slowly become a real place you can walk into. Nana’s Mini Mall, my little 10×12 brick-and-mortar boutique, is beginning to feel less like an idea on paper and more like a shop with a heartbeat.
This space is being created as a sales boutique for Creative Things By Gen LLC, a place where customers can browse handmade treasures, creative gifts, and thoughtfully chosen goodies straight from Nana HQ. It is not a production space. It is the little storefront I have been dreaming about, and every step brings me closer to opening the doors.

From construction project to future boutique
Joe has been helping with the construction, and I am so grateful to see the building take shape. The floor, walls, and roof have been progressing, and the foundation and paths have been painted white with waterproof paint. That clean white finish is already helping me picture the bright, welcoming little shop this will become.
Insulation has also been going in, which means we are moving beyond the early construction stage and into the details that will make the space comfortable and useful. I can finally start thinking more clearly about where the shelves will go, where customers will browse, and where the checkout desk will sit.

What still needs to happen
There is still work ahead before I can celebrate a Grand Opening. The next steps include carpeting, shelving, setting up the checkout desk, and moving products into their new home. The POS system is already set up, which makes this dream feel even more real, but there are plenty of finishing touches left to complete.
I am learning that building a small business takes patience, faith, and a whole lot of celebrating the little victories. Every painted surface, installed piece of insulation, and finished section is progress. It may not look like a boutique yet to everyone who walks by, but I can see it. I can see the displays, the handmade pieces, the happy customers, and the love that will fill this little space.

There is no Grand Opening date set just yet, but I will keep sharing the journey as Nana’s Mini Mall gets closer and closer. Thank you for cheering me on, supporting my small business, and following along as this dream grows from Nana HQ into a real brick-and-mortar boutique.
One step, one shelf, one handmade treasure at a time, Nana’s Mini Mall is coming to life. 💕
